چکیده

Metamaterials with precisely chosen negative permittivity and permeability are preferable to cloak the target without scattering. In this work, a metasurface is designed by using graphene as conducting material cylinder under instancing of TM TE polarized waves in terahertz range frequencies. The electric sheet impedance magnetic admittance played crucial role achieve cloaking good scattering reduction. Various incident angles simulated analyzed for obtaining radar cross section (RCS). proposed resonates at three different frequencies 3.8 THz, 9 THz 13.8 bandwidth resonating 3.5–4.58 THZ, 8.8–9.5 13–14.98 respectively. addition, parametric analysis chemical potential relaxation time shows effective results monostatic bistatic RCS simulated, which high reduction polarizations angles. structure adjustable various angle incidence less than 40 dB selected

Nanostructured graphene metasurface for tunable terahertz cloaking

We propose and analyze a graphene-based cloaking metasurface aimed at achieving widely tunable scattering cancelation in the terahertz (THz) spectrum. This ‘one-atom-thick’ mantle cloak is realized by means of a patterned metasurface comprised of a periodic array of graphene patches, whose surface impedance can be modeled with a simple yet accurate analytical expression. By adjusting the geomet...

Broadband and Broad-angle Polarization-independent Metasurface for Radar Cross Section Reduction

In this work, a broadband and broad-angle polarization-independent random coding metasurface structure is proposed for radar cross section (RCS) reduction. An efficient genetic algorithm is utilized to obtain the optimal layout of the unit cells of the metasurface to get a uniform backscattering under normal incidence. Excellent agreement between the simulation and experimental results show tha...

Optimizing broadband terahertz modulation with hybrid graphene/metasurface structures.

We demonstrate efficient terahertz (THz) modulation by coupling graphene strongly with a broadband THz metasurface device. This THz metasurface, made of periodic gold slit arrays, shows near unity broadband transmission, which arises from coherent radiation of the enhanced local-field in the slits. Utilizing graphene as an active load with tunable conductivity, we can significantly modify the l...

Radar Cross Section Measurements of Frequency Selective Terahertz Retroreflectors

The radar cross section of spherical retroreflectors operating at terahertz frequencies is investigated. Several spherical retroreflectors with diameters ranging from 2 mm to 8 mm were fabricated and their radar cross section was measured at 100 GHz, 160 GHz, and 350 GHz. A frequency selective surface was applied to the retroreflectors to demonstrate proof of concept of narrow-band terahertz re...

Monopole Antenna Radar Cross Section Reduction with Plasma Helix

In this paper, a new method for radar cross section reduction of a monopole antenna is proposed. In this method, a plasma helix like fluorescent bulbs is placed around the antenna element. The selected plasma parameter for this medium acts as an absorber without disturbing the antenna performance. The simulations show that radar cross section of simulated antenna is reduced in a wide frequency ...
